I did my PhD at ANU in the 1990s and then worked in medical research in Japan for a few years before realising I was in the wrong career!
In 2004 I started working as a professional editor and in 2018 I decided to become a coach. Fast forward to today, and there is plenty of information available to us, but most people don’t take action because of a lack of confidence. So these days, I support academic staff and students by helping them to feel confident in their knowledge and their writing skills so that they create a regular writing practice, which leads to more publications — the currency of academia.
